Sharon Sobol Jordan
Sharon Sobol Jordan has earned high accolades in a wide-ranging career that includes top leadership, strategy and advisory roles in the private, public and nonprofit sectors.
As Cuyahoga County Chief of Staff, Sharon drove early childhood education expansion, workforce systems transformation, the County’s first unified strategic plan and other key initiatives. She was the first woman to serve as President and CEO of the Centers for Families and Children, one of Ohio’s oldest and largest nonprofit human services organizations, which tripled in size and reach under her leadership to employ over 550 and serve more than 25,000 people each year.
Sharon started her career in the private practice of law with the firm of Schneider Smeltz Spieth Bell where she became a partner before leaving to serve as Cleveland’s Law Director and Special Counsel to the Mayor.
Sharon’s commitment to the community is evidenced through her extensive civic leadership, volunteer and board service, and awards including Smart 50 Leaders in Northeast Ohio by Smart Business, Nortech’s Innovative Leader of the Year, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist, Crain’s Woman of Note and YWCA Woman of Achievement.
