Jim Hickey is widely acknowledged as a business, marketing and communications innovator.
He was the founder and CEO of Arras Group, a leading marketing and communications firm. He led the company for 27 years, serving a remarkably diverse client roster that ranged from dynamic start-ups to Fortune 100 enterprises and included private and non-profit organizations.
The company was a 10-time Weatherhead 100 winner and also received the Northcoast 99 award multiple times. Arras was recently acquired by the Adcom Group, where Jim now serves as Senior VP, driving account direction, strategy and new business efforts.
He partnered in the development of one of the most innovative real estate projects in Northeast Ohio when he and an associate converted the former Hornblower’s Barge and Grill into one of only three floating offices in the U.S. The project earned a National Association of Industrial and Office Properties Award of Excellence.
Jim has served on a wide variety of private and non-profit boards. He was board Chairman for Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity and he was on the boards of Rebuilding Together and Jumpstart. He has been a trustee of Church of the Saviour and co-chair of the National Leadership Council for Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital. Jim was a longtime member of the Young Presidents Organization and an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist in 2004.
